Submitting a letter of english proficiency from your school and work is a thing of the past and wouldn't help your application. Unfortunately, the only way to prove your english language proficiency that is acceptable standard to Immigration is by sitting the IELTS. I guess, there's no escape. _________________ "Don't count your sheeps, count your blessings!" |

Just take the IELTS. Less hassle.. Less headache.
A friend of mine who has a more than 17 years work experience didn't take the IELTS exam. His WTR was approved today. |

I've also submitted my ITA without IELTS certificate, and used a lot of alternatives.
Eto sabi ng VO ko without mentioning anything sa mga English proficiency docs ko...
Dear All.Black,
Please provide the following documents to this office no later than 20 June 2008
- IELTst test booking receipt that you and your
partner book the test in July 2008.
- Medical certificate for All.Black Jr. |

eu_cast,
1. Certification that I completed my degree that was conducted in English. Certification that I am living in Singapore for more than 3 years now. Certification from employers that English is the medium used in dealing with clients and colleagues.
2. Yes receipt to prove that I will be taking IELTS exam before July 2008. Di pa ko tapos mag exam.
Advice ko lang sa mga bago pa lang mag-aaply, take the IELTS before starting your application dont take chances na mae-exempt kayo sa IELTS.
Don’t be like me, I have done everything, EOI, QAR, Medicals, submitted my ITA, pay all the fees and now my VO is requiring me to submit IELTS certificate. All these are dependent now to the results of my examination.
It happens to fast for me, from the day I submitted my EOI to the day I submitted my ITA took 2 1/2 months lang. Now I may not have enough time to prepare for IELTS. Good luck to me and my wife. |

sonya2008,
You can take IELTS w/o ITA. Mag register ka sa British Council, its near Phil. Embassy. SGD300 ang fee. You will need 2 pictures and ID. Di mo na kailangan other certification pag may IELTS cert. ka.
Im not sure kung may advantage sa processing kung from SG, pero in my case it's quite fast. I got my ITA 1 month after I submitted my EOI.

| In OZ's case, just FYI: It is only IELTS that is accepted for english profeciency exam... The only key to getting your desired band score in each area is attending a review session. IELTS is accepted all over the world, Canada and UK also aside from Australia... Visit: www.ielts-philippines.com |
