To those who cannot help but use an agent/consultant for their migration plans, you can check/verify the company of the agent/consultant (who claim that they have a company here in NZ)by going to mthe website of the NZ Ministry of Economic Developmnet. You can search the name of the company and see if the company is existing/registered, struck off, etc...

before you hand in your money to the agent, check this out first. could save you a fortune.
better yet, deal with NZIS directly. |

To add to wellingtonianbuddy's suggestion, there is a newly created governmental agency called the "Immigration Advisers Authority - New Zealand" (http://www.iaa.govt.nz/).
Unfortunately, they are in the early stages of development and I think they would not be functional till 2009. But it does not hurt to check once in a while to see if they have any updates. |
