We arrive on december 31th in Auckland at noon. The big question. Can you do some shopping on this day or on january 1? We have a camper, so no hotelbreakfast  . And how does the Aucklander celebrate the New Year

| januray 1 is holiday in NZ. Most shops are closed (or they face stiff penalties for opening up). |
