Guys need your honest comment because we're confuse whether we'll go online application or thru consultancy We received rate quote from the consultancy amounting to NZ$3800 excluding embassy's expenses. Is this reasonable? Can somebody please tell us what really are the exact expenses payable to the embassy? How much would be the cost for my family...me, my husband and 2 yrs old son.
One more thing...when we tried the pre-assessment we got 100 points and we don't qualify under Skilled Migrant Category what's the best thing to do or what kind of application should we apply for in order to successfully migrate to New Zealand? Please need your sound advice. My family would greatly appreciate your openness and sincerity in giving us advice. Thank you so much |

With that consultancy amount, you would have covered the embassy's expenses.
Think very hard before you give them your hard-earned money. |

My brother-in-law applied thru Consultancy agency few months before I did apply online. They even attended a seminar at Ortigas Center. Of course they paid 500pesos for that. Their entire application costs them 30,000 pesos initially.
When I applied EOI thru online at that time I paid 300NZD. Then my EOI was preselected after a month. AFter 4 months I got invitation for ITA. I was told by the embassy that by claiming points for Absolute skills, I need to apply for NZQA - qualification assessment. So I did. It took me 3 weeks to get the certification from NZQA. It costs me around 20K pesos.
So at this stage when my brother-in-law and I have almost spent the same amount of money, I could see my application going somewhere as I can always check the status online, while he has become oblivious of what's really going on with his. Sa madaling salita, binola bola sya nung consultancy, he has no idea whether his application has even reached elsewhere. Maghintay daw sya ng six months, at this time, nilalakad ko na ang mga requirements for ITA.
At his 6th month, he was told to reapply at idadagdag daw ang qualification ng wife nya to gain additional points...
One should know very well that at the start of EOI application, the partner's qualification is also being considered. Ilalagay na nung principal applicant ang profession/experience ng asawa nya as this would add points to the principal applicant. Sa madaling salita, the consultancy is asking him to reapply for some reason. What??? maybe to rip him off some more money...
So, going back to the question whether online or consultancy, you should know which to choose from our experience. With online application, one has to invest time and be patient to read and learn the process of application through the NZ immigration website. Pag nag-apply ka na ng EOI, continue learning the rest of the process, do your homework, magbasa sa NZ embassy website...ask questions, email directly the embassy.

Ang asawa ko ang principal applicant and he earns points kasi ung La Salle is nasa list nila. Sad to say ung school ko wala kaya nakalagay dun have to undergo NZQA. Please assist. Thank you.

Dont waste your hard earned money consulting an agency .New Zealand Immigration process I think is the easiest and the cheapest so far compared to canada /australia or UK Only if your going to deal directly with NZIS (New Zealand Immigration ).You know if you deal directly with them you know where your money will go to and you have first hand knowledge whats happening with your application since officers from the NZimmigration will contact you personally.
Try to read and read from the website
http://www.immigration.govt.nz
everything you need to know is in there
And join yahoogroups at pinoyz2nz all members are very helpful .Most of the members that will provide you advice have already gone through the whole process of applying and some of them are already in NZ .Note: they didnt go through any agency "lahat sariling sikap" |

| Hi all, need your optimum advice. I'm applying for immigrant through a consultancy, wala kasing time to work on it and para guided na rin with reminders pa. I'm applying for defacto status, I'm already done with my NZQA. I'm working on the requirements for both me & my partner pero as we go along my issue pa regarding my partner's school documents and he is required to enroll the subjects with issues for him to be considered as graduate. As I consulted this issue to my agent, she told me that I can post the EOI application while waiting for my partner's documents to complete. Then after daw accomplish ung documents niya saka submit and we can still claim for his points sa EOI para daw EOI is already in-process and to be able to be considered pa while passing points is low, baka daw kasi tumaas ung passing points na 100pts and priority points qouta na 125pts now. Does this mean na we are pursuaded to submit EOI and reapply again later to include my partner's credentials for us to have a double payments? Or this is a good advice form my agent?Which is better to wait for my partner's credentials to be complete before I submit for 1 time assessment or should I do my agent's advice para makahabol sa current low points required? |

Once lang ang EOI application. You can edit your application when you are Invited to Apply (ITA) for Residence. It means you can include the additional points for your partner's qualification. EOI is not really final and your application will still be reviewed after you submit your ITA required documents.
If you can get the required EOI points (at least 100 points. 120 is better) without your partner's points, go for EOI. Make sure you can prove whatever you claim on your EOI.
cheers! |

| I would go for applying directly. Kung kaya mo naman, bakit mo pa kailangan ng third party? |

| Thanks for the inputs! Based from my agents assessment I'm already at 100pts kaya they are pushing to go ahead with the EOI now that the qualifying points is at 100pts only. We already signed up a binding contract with them that once we started the application with we need to finish it with their assistance. Ok na rin, me & my friends signed up, mga tamad kasi kami magbbrowse online, and I think its better, one of our collegue applied online, considering that we are on the same educ backgroud, he has a much better work experience pero he only got a lower nzqa result than us na nagpaagent, kaya we are thankfull narin na we choose to get an agent because of that, though mas magastos and we've been hearing nga na madali lang magprocess and no need to get an agent. I will just get the group's opinion every now and then to validate our steps being taken. Thanks again! |
