Hello there! I am a registered nurse here in Manila and I've approached an agent who quoted me with the following: $500-$700 registration fee, $225 for administration fee and $1,700 for the student visa processing. For all these, he promised to process our student visa for the competency training. Do we really need a student visa? Is it safer to have one rather than a visitor visa?

While for the SMC/Permanent residency processing, he quoted us $3,500 which he told us would take only 6 months to process. Is there any truth to this?

I would like to ask our Filipino nurses there in NZ the lists of schools where we can enroll for the competency training and the tuition fees .
Also, where can we stay during the program?
Thank you! Hope someone would be able to enlighten us.

the fees are all in nz$. it's a big amount of money if you are going to convert it in peso in a lifetime opportunity. the quotation will depend also with the course you are going to take and the school you are going to enroll. you can email me if you want to know the complete details of the steps. junneflorida@yahoo.com

i know some nurses who are now working in NZ.

one spent at least 300k pesos. she left within 6 months using a student visa. i believe she got her PR already. oh.. she just bought her first sports car. it's really possible if you are a nurse and you have the money.

i know 2 nurses who are also working as nurse assistant since they didn't pass the required ielts score. They prepared 500k pesos each.
