hi all.. I hope you can give me some piece of advice. I havent submitted my ITA yet but I would just like to know, when is the best time to have my medical?

I recently received my ITA and still required me to have a full assessment result of NZQA.

Last week I had my NZQA application submitted. I was just thinking if I can have my medical already after a month my NZQA is submitted. Or should I have my medical after I got my NZQA result?

My dilema here is that I may not be able to meet the October 15 deadline of ITA submission set by EOI officer. And If I willbe given an extension, the extension may not be enough again (e.g. medical / health issues that would cause frequent visits to specialists) to meet the extension period.

However, what if I did not meet the Level required by NZQA? (Although I am 90% confident that I can meet it)

Your inputs would be of great help.
Thanks!

A good strategy is to do the "personal medical exam" first. This means you go to your private doctor and do all the tests that are required by NZIS. This way you will know if there are alarming results which may require immediate medical attention - e.g. treatment, operation, etc.). If your health is now 100% OK, then go on with the NZIS process of medical check up using the accredited clinic of NZIS.

This may take time and abit of money, but more advantageous to you.

If you are sure of your health, then you can go on with the NZIS medical check up. The results are valid for three (or is it six?) months. Check the nzis website to be sure.

Hello,

We have been interviewed by TK yesterday. The interview went on smoothly but you cannot blame me for paranoia having the fear we'll be declined (after all the money and effort spent i'll only be sure when i have the visa on my passport).

I'd like to know the chances that somebody will be declined during the interview? And how soon can we receive the WTR invite if successful?

Thanks a lot.

Hi teeser

Your VO works fast, just like Michael Liu, pareho silang taga Beijing. From what I could remember on the average mga 1 month lang & she issues WTR invite, it could also be after a week, that is if there's no problem, e.g. medicals.

I have not known any case that was declined after the interview. There was supposed to be one about 2 years ago. The reason for supposed to be disapproval is the failure to provide satisfactory information about potentials to settle in NZ, in terms of skills ata yun. The applicant was asked to provide justifications to which he complied. Instead of being disapproved a WTR invite was issued sooner than he expected.

Hope this eases your worry

Follow this link.
http://www.residencereviewboard.govt.nz/srchres.aspx

Search under country "Philippines" and category "Skilled Migrant". Here you will find cases of people who have been declined in different stages of the immigration process under SMC.

Hello Rdj95,

Until now you do not have a schedule for the interview? It's been 7 months you should have an interview schedule 1 month after submission of ITA. You should follow-up Frances Wu.

Thanks

Hi rdj95,

So sad you were assigned to Frances Wu. Our VO processes each phase at an average of 3 weeks. Sad

Thanks

Hello Janice_r

Sayang naman all the efforts ( and money too). Why dont you try to ask for an extention of your ITA. Malay mo they will grant you for extention.

Good luck!
