Hi! I just want to ask, do you know what are the common and usual grounds in denying working visa under partnership policy? My partner and I are engaged since November 2006 and declare it in my work visa application form. I just lodged it last May 27 and today would be the 7th working day after my application. I still didn't receive any call from the embassy? It would be possible that they'll just delivered it to me without making any call?Tnx! |

June 2 is a holiday for immigration since they celebrate the Queen's birthday so probably walang pasok immigration last monday. So the 6th of June is your 7th day.
anyhoo, i haven't heard of one being denied, but most probably the reason for denial is lack or no credible and satisfactory evidence of your partnership was submitted with immigration. In my case my application was delayed since they found irregularities in my medical so i had to go to a specialist and submit additional documents. good luck! |

the most common ground to deny a visa under partnership is when both of you fail to provide sufficient evidence of STABLE AND LONG-TERM relationship.
marriage certificate may be important but not sufficient enough. you will need letters (to both of you with the same address), joint bank accounts, joint credit cards, pictures of the two of you with dates, affidavits from friends attesting of your long-term relationship, same billing address. etc.). provide mo yung pinaka luma, then sometime in between, then young most current =- that way ma convince mo ang VO na talagang stable and on-going ang relationship.
good luck.
NB: i've known a few friends na nag sponsor ng kanilang partners (bf/gf). pagdating ba naman dito sa NZ, aba nag hiwalay agad! Di ko alam kung sino ang kawawa.
cheers! |

Haha, pareho. Yung nag-sponsor di maka kuha ng bago sa pinas kasi pag nag-sponsor ka via partnership wait ka 5 years bago ka sponsor via partnership uli.
Yung nang-iwan, work visa lang sya, kung di sya maka PR before the work visa expires, fly away sya on the first plane to good ol Pinas, unless may maloko pa sila na iba na pwede silang i-sponsor uli.
No laughing matter but everyone faces the consequences of their actions, good or bad. |

tnx for all the replies!narelieve po ako. kasi nagwoworry lang din kami dahil la nga po kaming marriage contract dahil di naman kami kasal, and la din kaming mga joint billings kasi di naman kami live-in. We just provide our pictures with dates since 2006 plus e-mails, text messages with the help of software, and money transfer from partner. I just called the embassy kaning umaga at sabi na icheck ko lang lagi email ko. kinuha lang din ulit phone at cell numbers ko. Sabi nasa embassy pa daw po application ko. But still we're praying na maging ok nga lahat...Sna mabait ang visa officer ko..hehehe...Tnx for the support! |

The Parent Visa is a new visa, was just implemented mid 2008 I think, so not much news or experiences from others here in nz - except that the parent visa also a full chest and medical xray. |

Hi Cheezy,
So you applied for a work visa? and your partner also got one under partnership policy?
Can you or anyone help me on the process needed for this situation?
My partner is planning to apply for a work visa and we are not sure what visa do i need to go to NZ with her and eventually work there too.
Thanks. |
