Hi!!
We are two guys who are going to NZ for 6 weeks from the beginning of Feb ´05. At first we thought of buying a car but we were afraid that we might had to spend to much time trying to get rid of it when we were leaving. So now we are planning to rent a car but the problem is that we both are 20 years old. I have seen on this website that the minimum age for car rentals is 21, but I have also heard from others that some companies allow younger people also. Does anyone know whether it would be possible or not for us to rent a car??

Hi Lars,
the company we went with allows people from 19 onwards but i think they only rent sleepervans. Check out www.bedmobils.com or write them directly on bedmobils@gmx.net.
We rented a sleepervan cause it safes you all the money for accommodation and you can sleep wherever you feel like it. Can't get better then having the sea right in front your accommodation hey?
