Hi All, My 14 year old son & I have just finished watching 'The Lion Man' series on TV here in the UK. I have always wanted to visit New Zealand & now I have an excuse. We really, really, would like to make a trip to Zion Wildlife Gardens at Whangarei to see the big cats for ourselves. I have promised my son that I will research a trip for us, but not until he finishes at High School (early summer 2009!). We are both so excited. However, I don't know New Zealand at all. My husband hates flying, so won't make the trip with us. I'm a little apprehensive about there being just the 2 of us. Is there a way I can find a penfriend for us perhaps(without taking risks)? Do you think I should hire a car? Where else should we visit? Where should we stay, in one place, or do you think we should move around? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
