what i did was browse with www.immigration.govt.nz under List of Recognized Qualification (LRQ) states that: We also accept qualifications that the NZQA considers equivalent to an acceptable New Zealand qualification. The qualifications in this list do not require assessment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). The List of Recognised Qualifications is for immigration purposes only.

what bothers me is that, institutions under LRQ were already pre-assessed or accredited by the NZQA as stated above, but there is question in the EOI that still asks for "What New Zealand qualification was your qualification assessed as being comparable to."

will you please advise me on what and where can i possibly find the answer? tnx..

I think this refers to the equivalent level of your qualification in New Zealand terms.

Hi All,

For my case it was not stated in my ITA that I need to get an (NZQA) assessment. There was an item to pass a copy of NZQA but enclosed with (if applicable). My school is included in the institution list of exempted for NZQA. So I am bit confused if I still need it.

Thanks,
OJ

NZIS will rely on NZQA report. Don't mix up the two agencies.

If NZQA accepts your qualification, that is one less worry for you. (this means NZQA recognises your degre (e.g. Bachelor's degree in xyz) as comparable to the bachelor's degree gained from a NZ university.

So if you have proof of this equivalence, you should have no worries answering the question in the EOI. (e.g.What New Zealand qualification was your qualification assessed as being comparable to" if NZQa says your's is equivalent to bachelor;'s degree, then pick this answer.

You'll probably get the result this month.

If you already have an EOI officer, inform him/her. He/She can help make a follow-up to nzqa.
