Dropped by to inform you that my EOI was selected a few hours ago -this day, August 01, 2007. Hope you dont mind sharing with u this happy thought.I know this is the beginning of more "pleasant" (I hope and pray) things to come, IF, they find no problem with the points I personally claimed. Wish me luck!!! |
Congratulations, you are on your way. Proving your points is one of the thornier aspects of the SMC migration but I hope you make it. |

hi joy,
Yes, I think there's something wrong with their system. anyway, i continued filling out the form. When done, i made notes clarifying that those degrees were earned from the Philippines. Later, when u feel like editing the entries you made, they will ask u why u made the changes.

Good morning po. I am just new here, I already got my NZQA result and I got a level 7. What I need now is to find a job at NZ so that I can launch my EOI. can someone help me please find a job or any good links on job search.
I have submitted my CV online, all I got is a rejection from the companies. Btw, I am a graduate of Management
Accounting.
Thanks for the upcoming replies.

Hi gradnerolf,
Would you mind telling me how NZQA accredits my qualifications? I claimed these points as per their list but havent requested NZQA to qualify them. Levi informed me that for post grad degrees, they must be NZQA qualified. Haven't done that process yet.
Regarding job prospects, you may visit what Levi has suggested, www.seek.co.nz. I have received confirmations of receipt of my application from 3 actual employers already, informing me that my application is included in their shortlist. I hope and pray for a positive response. Try and visit the site... Good luck to us!!! |

Sir, the NZQA serves as a certification from NZ that the course we took here in the Philippines is credited or registered on the New Zealand Register of Quality Assured Qualifications. NZQA is also a requirement for migration. Even though you already have an EOI, they might also ask for your NZQA in the long run.[/quote] |

Don't get discouraged, some employers would prefer someone here in NZ na so they can conduct a face to face interview.
You do not need a job offer to submit an EOI, but a job offer would certainly increase your points.
Maybe you could ask the companies the reason why you are not considered for the position/s you applied so that you could see what needs improvement? Hope this helps. |

Congrats and thanks for the encouragement in pushing with my EOI but I think tama naman si archilinux.I just keep myself informed pag bumaba na ang cutoff.
By the way, do you have a job offer?
Call me nilds..
God bless |
Hello Nilds!
I don't have a Job offer as of now but i've been constantly applying online. Lately, i have just completed the NetworkZ. I think it's part of the online service of New Zealand Immigration to help you broadcast your self and what you've got to NZ employers. Thus, would increase your chances to be spoted, short listed and be invited to work in NZ. I strongly suggest that you complete that online form too!

I have a question.
What do you mean by a recognised basic/post graduate New Zealand qualification? Are these degrees obtained from a New Zealand educational institution? Thanks. |

Good thing i stumbled upon this website last month and only now that i joined as a member as i read most of the postings muna. Ang galing talaga ng pinoy nagtutulungan. I wonder though kung nasaan na yung mga naunang nag contribute dito like, Nephrite, JAP, MissMe, Ka Uro, Snooze, Da_Duck and others. Kasi parang sina Archlinux, levi, Jo2Remedios and others na lang ang nagbibigay ng tips. Sana they come back and still help us in giving information sa mga nandito pa rin sa Pilipinas.
Already started collecting all documents para sa EOI, mukhang okay naman ang points ko. Will let you now kung anong mangyayari.
Salamat! |

Sir,
You don't need a job offer in order for you to submit your EOI, unless malaki ang kulang mo sa points. You can claim bonus points if your work experience and qualification is in the area of absolute skills shortage. Please check the List of Long Term Skills Shortage in the NZ immigration website. Check the website because you can learn a lot from their several links, especially on how to claim bonus points for your EOI.
However, don't stop looking for job offers. Mas madali ang processing ng appliction mo pag may offer na. Make sure lang it's a skilled employment so you can be granted a PR.
Good luck po.

| Hi to all of you. I'm just new here in this forum. I got my WTR visa last August 30 (with NZQA Assessment Rating of Level 7)...it will expire in two years. Kaya I still have ample time to decide kung kelan me alis. Honestly, medyo may konting hesitation on my part dahil alam kong back to zero na naman lahat. Saka baka kulangin ang budget ko kaya parang I dont want to take chances na pumunta agad. I'll be very thankful for whatever helpful tips that I can get from you guys... |

Hi pearldiver!
You can try contacting International Migration Specialists, Inc (IMSI) in makati. They specialize in New Zealand Migration and are very well-informed about the entire process of getting a succesful New Zealand visa, since their head consultant was an NZ migrant herself (and is now a NZ citizen). I don't remember their address but you can try to contact them via phone 830-0201.
Hope this information helps you (and many others reading these forums).
Good luck on your application! |
