Hello! I'm hoping to take a backpacking trip to NZ, and am starting to make lists of what I will need.
I live in the USA, and have cell phone service with T-Mobile. Will I be able to use my phone in New Zealand, do I need to get a pre-paid phone upon arrival, or should I be asking the T-Mobile company instead?
If I'm just planning to call back a few times to family and friends, would it be better and easier to just use pay phones? Does New Zealand have pay phones?(that sounds awfully arrogant...) |

Yeah check with your cell phone provider, if your phone is unlocked you could just buy a NZ sim card. Yeah we have phone boxes and cheap phone cards (avoid telecom cards), we even got power 3 years ago  |
