Hello!
We are going to new zealand this autumn, and we have a question which we hope anyone of you can answer:
How old do you have to be if you want to buy a car?
We know you must be 21 to rent a car but we don't know how old you have to be to buy one in new zealand.

| Hi, I am not 100% sure. I rung up AA and LTSA (Land Transport Safety Authority) and they didn't know either. They thought as long as you are old enough to have a licence, which is 15. |

| It depends on when you are going. But in mid November it is NZ$160 for Ultra Saver, $220 for Saver Change and $280.00 for Easy Change. Usually during the peak holiday season you need to prebook the cheaper tickets. You can see the prices and book tickets online @ http://www.interislandline.co.nz/ |

| We took our camper down on http://www.strait.co.nz/ they were alot cheaper than interislander. That were very good as they let us change our dates. Our camper was less than 6 metres so it only cost 165 including the driver. |
