Dear Kiwiwannabees,
Nakalagay dito ang Physical Address, postal address, phone and fax number at Trade Categories
Nakalink din dito yung Wises Maps kung saan lugar yung inyong gustong pasukan. Good luck sa application ninyong lahat
Regards,
Achie |

Hello all especially those who are now in NZ!
I would like to revive this thread on the electronics industry in NZ. I now have my WTR visa and preparing to go to NZ and look for a job. There are some things that is bugging my mind. Can anyone give me an idea of the ff:
1. How difficult is it to find a job in this in dustry. My job experience deals with electronics manufacturing.
2. How long does one find a job? 1 mos, 2mos etc.
3. What is the ave starting salary?
4. What usually do employers ask during job interviews?
5. How could we contact electronics companies?
Hope sombody could help.

Hi Kenndric,
As I have known right now, there are several Electronic Companies here in our city (Auckland). I have filipino friends kasi who are working in Electronic company/ies. One reputable electronic company here is the Rakon Limited. Their business is in the making of oscilators (tama ba!) which is main component of GPS devices. My other friend naman (also filipino) is working in the making of home appliances (t.v, microwave, etc.)
Mimimum wage here is $12/hr, covert mo nlng into pesos huh!
In the interview...most of the questions will be also coming from your CV and about your work history.
Give yourself a month in looking and applying for a job.
I arrived here a month ago....but my husband arrived here earlier ( October '05). He went thru an Employment Agency dyan sa atin kaya medyo mabilis...within 4 months time naka-alis na sya!
I hope this could help a little!
Goodluck,
Maisol |

Hi Marisol,
Is it ok for you to forward their email addresses so I could ask them more about looking for a job in the electronics field
Thanks,
Kenndric |
