hi guys,

we had our interview last Jan 17 with Ms. Frances. The interview went quite well. The questions are basically about your skills and your plans on settling in NZ. She started by asking my husband about his work experiences, his skills, actions/preparations in finding a job, the responses he got from employment agencies, prospective employers, what he thinks would be the challenges/ barriers he may encounter in NZ, top priorities when he get to NZ,why New Zealand, where in NZ you wanted to live and why, actually yung questions e paulit ulit lang cguro she just wanted to know if consistent ka sa aswers mo. Then it's my turn, she asked if I am working, what I do, company name, she also asked if I have plans to work in NZ, relatives in other countries, sa case ko na me kamag-anak sa ibang lugar e me follow-up question pa na "have you thought of migrating to to that country, y? and y not?" similarities and differences of NZ and Philippines, ano pa ba? she also asked if we plan to go to NZ together? The interview lasted for an hour. Si Frances, she's young early 20s cguro, i can say na she's nice kahit wala syang ka rea reaction sa mga answers namin, yun nga lng since chinese sya mahirap intindihan diction nya so you really have to pay attention to her. After the interview dun lng sya parng nging friendly friendly samin she asked kung when kami return sa Philippines, where kami stay ganun pero the whole time of the interview e nkaharap lng sya sa laptop nya and no reaction. Inask rin namin how soon do we know the result of the interview? sbi nya final result will be after 2-3 mos depending on the verification of all the info stated on the ITA so meaning d pa pala tapos ang verification ng docs kala namin once na na sched 4 interview na verify na all the docs Sad di pala.
To those wo will be interviewed by Frances Goodluck po and wag pong kabahan nice naman sya basta listen to her very well kasi nga chinese medyo hirap intindihin ng English. practice po kayo ika nga "practice makes perfect" and sympre "PRAY".
To all of us hoping to move to NZ, let's remain hopeful and wait patiently - all will be given to us in "GOD's perfect time!" Razz

Thanks for sharing your experiences with Ms. Frances. She's doing interviews herself pala. That is why I got an autoreply from her when I e-mailed her, telling that she will be in Bangkok From Jan 16 to 26. Then after that NZIS will resume office of Feb 6. She's also my VO and this may be the reason why I haven't received sked for interview yet. I hope you will receive your WTR soon. Keep posting. By the way, when did you lodge your ITA ? Thanks. God bless.

thanks a lot for sharing your experience in your interview with Frances Wu. Sya din ang VO ko. i lodged my ITA last Nov. 16 but was required to undertake further medical tests due to one abnormal LVF test result. hi to all!

we were also interviewed by Frances Wu last January 20, 2005 in Bangkok, Thailand. She asked about my work experiences, skills. Everything went on smoothly.

She also asked me about preparations in finding a job, prospective employers, where in NZ to live. Medyo kinabahan ako kasi wala akong ginawang preparation. So I asked her to repeat/rephrase the question pero inulit lang niya how it was shown in her laptop. Medyo nag-buckle ako. Good thing she redirected her quetioning to my wife.

All in all the interview is 50/50. After the interview medyo naka-hinga kami.

After getting back to the Philippines, search agad kami ng prospective employers and a place to stay.

Anybody knows how long do we have to wait for a result? and what other preparations that we have to undertake?

thanks.

Hi rey and jenny,

I would suggest na you start looking for job openings sa mga websites na nakalagay dun sa handbook natin as well as to familiarize yourself on the cost of living (weekly rent, groceries, utilities etc.)on the area you are planning to go in NZ.

Summarize this then email niyo kaagad sa VO niyo.Yung mga job openings, kahit ilagay niyo lang sa summary yung mga pangalan ng companies or agencies na inapplyan niyo.

I'm suggesting this to you because sinabi mo nga na lumalabas na parang hindi ka prepared dun sa ibang questions sa inyo sa interview, specifically on your plans on how you are going to settle there. So I think it would be a good idea to erase any negative impressions you made on your vo by informing him/her of your plans the soonest time possible.

Hope this helps.

hi aldexter,

right after the interview with ms gong, she said that they will try their best to have the results as soon as possible but it depends upon the third party that will conduct the verification of the docs. this means that for further course of action, you have to wait for thier go signal until you will receive your wtr. but while your in the stage of waiting, you can prepare the neccessary things like the requirements of the wtr and on-line applications. during the interview, mas maayo kung dili mangurog. you have to take control of yourself. again, if you do your homework, then i firmly believe that you can do it.

cheers,
jay
