Hi Shiemarie,
Already submitted out WTR application last monday (04/23/07) na received nila the following day. I don't know exactly yung timeline nila upon stamped passports to be return, any idea?
Hi to all,
Do you have any idea how long will it take for FW/SS to return the stamped passports? kindly share your idea, hindi pa kasi ako nakakapag-resign dito sa work ko eh.

Hi to all,
We have also received our visa last May 19. We're under FW/SS. To all those who are still waiting, just keep praying to God, I'm sure it's on its way now. Thanks to all those who shared their experiences and knowldege about the application process. God Bless and good luck to all of us. |

Congratulations!
Nareceived nyo ba passports with visa na? kelan kau nag submit ng wtr nyo? kasi ako waiting for visa na din eh..april 28 ko naisubmit, sabi ni SS, in a month time daw may visa na..check ko lang kung talagang 1month ang process ng visa.
Goodluck sa inyo ha..kita kita tau sa NZ. Kelan ang alis nyo?

yes we have received our passports with the visa, we submitted the WTR application last April 18, arrived in NZIS Shanghai a day after, were sent back to the Philippines on May 17. We received them on May 19, a month after we submitted the WTR application. Just be patient, it will be sent to you soon. |

I was informed today by our agent that we now have our 2yrs WTR visa. Thank God for all the blessings!
Let's keep in touch and continue to bond when we get there..
To all waiting, it's worth it to wait. God will really provide, just hang on to HIM.

Hi to everybody,
'Been a long time since I last logged in (Oct 2006 pa - pasensya na po). I just want to give an update. To refresh, I was a GP baby. Got a 2 yr WTR last 30 Oct'06. I was able to finally plane in at Auckland last 14 Apr'07. Just had to finish lots of work loads with my makati-based guam construction firm.
I'm in autocad draughting, experience is in rebar detailing. I stayed in Manurewa with very kind hearted pinoy couple who's been in NZ since 1998. I just met them here sa backpack. So my transition to NZ living was quite bump free. God is really great. So there, while still in Phil, this friend suggested that I attend the Kiwi Career Seminar so I registered for it. I attended the seminar 16-18 April which was quite a great help for new kiwis like me and I was also thankful for the busy schedule right after my arrival.
So I had to revise my CV, as learnt from the seminar. I sent my applications at trademe, seek, ipenz, etc but at Auckland job openings only. After a week with no replies, I tried other places like Wellington and Bay of Plenty. And that's when I got many replies in those areas and the Auckland contacts started to come in as well. I was in contact with a recruiter and a structural consultancy firm (direct) to go to Tauranga on May 1. The recruiter guy had 10 interviews arranged for me. But when I researched the structural firm through the internet, I noticed that the contact person is already the principal of the firm (he's the boss). So in my mind, that might be a bonus since I won't have to go through so much stages of interviews. But what happened was, the "boss" had a meeting in Auckland last April 30 and he called me if we can meet late in the afternoon on that day for an interview. You guessed it, of course I said yes. So I picked a Mcdonalds place in Manurewa . He explained that he wanted to get ahead with the recruiter. It's just that I told them both that I was dealing with them (recruiter and boss). In Mcdo, I had my sample drawings with me, showed them to the boss and at the end of the interview, said he was really interested to offer me an employment even if their program is not what I use (though both autocad, theirs is desktop, mine is plain autocad). Meaning they are still willing to train me to adapt to the program. My heart was pumping so fast and my mind was swirling during that time. That was my 1st interview only. And so I said I am keen to work for him. So he suggested that I go ahead with my trip to Tauranga the next day (I travelled by bus) to see their office and the place and he'll think overnight about my contract which was ready the next day. When I got home, I can't explain the feeling. But it was a very good one. Para kang drained na may ngiti sa labi. Drained from all the preparations and the journey starting sa WTR application pa lang. Wheww.
To start again..I stayed overnight there, went back to Manurewa and travelled back to Tauranga on 6 May to start the next day on the job. The couple offered me their 94 Nissan bluebird for a cheap price, hulugan pa and I accepted it. I felt I need the car because Tauranga is not like Auckland where there are so many bus schedules and routes. So yun, this coming week, I can pay fully for the car.

are you still in Tauranga? dito ko sa Rotorua..nakapunta na ako dyan kaya lang ikot ikot lang..ang ganda ng place..ang super gaganda ng mga bahay..retirement place yan diba> e di madami ding mga matatanda? (just asking)

I was just browsing when I saw your post. My vo is also Frances Wu, she has already returned some of the documents from my application. Just curious, pag nagbalik na ba sila ng mga documents does it mean na malapit na ang interview. Medyo naiinip na kc ako e. I lodged my ita last november 25 2006.

have you got your interview sked already? i am also waiting for my interview sked and my vo is also frances wu. i submitted our ita feb this year and they already returned our docs but until now we havent heard from them yet. like you medyo naiinip na rin kc ako eh  i hope to hear from you
