hi to everyone,
i have received an e-mail from sue shen. mukhang she will take over as my VO.
ano ang nagyari kay frances wu?
ang bad trip pa dyan, sue shen will start working on my application starting the middle of July 2006 and a decision will come out within 8 months. meaning my wife & i still have to wait until March 2007.
anyone who received the same or similar news?
is there anything else that we can do to speed up the process? hindi naman natin kasalanan kung ano man ang nangyari kay frances wu.

Hi to everyone
Same with me here, FWu emailed me to submit my IELTS result not later than June 30, 2006. She also specified to get an overall of 6.5 band score. The question, is whats next? |

| Why dont you guys email Shanghai branch and tell them how come they are the only branch with "global priorities" and not the other branches like Bangkok and Beijing? I believe this is a bit of a discrimination here against Pinoys and favoring other countries that they are currently also processing. Also, maybe you should email NZIS through their website directly as well and ask them about this so called "global priorities" If Shanghai cannot keep up with their work, then maybe they should forward all the applications to Bangkok again... After all, all the applications were originally sent to Bangkok before they were routed to Shanghai. |

Hello, my VO is also Ms. Frances Wu. I've inquired with my consultant, who is based in Christchurch, about the global priority issue. He mentioned that global priorities is basically the new policy implemented in Dec. 2005. And why only with Shanghai VOs, he mentioned that its because they are more tougher than the other Embassies like Beijing. Bangkok and Singapore. He also mentioned that there is already a complaint received by NZIS Wellington about this, and its now being studied.
Lets just hope and pray that things will turn out to our favor and we'll all soon be approved of Visa. |

Sorry to disagree with your consultant, Lyn. But the new immigration policy issued in Dec 2005 ONLY affects (1) those whose EOIs were selected on or after Dec 21, 2005 and (2) those whose EOIs which were selected before Dec 21, 2005 AND not yet issued ITA invitations. It was explicitly stated on immigration website and policy on Dec 21, 2005 that those EOIs which already issued ITA invitations PRIOR to Dec 21, 2005 will be assessed based on the OLD immigration policies, meaning the 100 passing points. Nothing of the 'global priorities' was ever mentioned for the "old" applicants. I would more likely assume that whatever these priorities are, will be for the EOIs selected after Dec 21, 2005.
And to reiterate my earlier post, I believe that if Shanghai branch indeed cannot cope with the volume of applications, then they can send the Philippine applications back to Bangkok branch, which was our original processing branch anyway, and concentrate on their own China applications. Apparently, Bkk branch has been eased of the number of applications, considering the fact that only a few (less than 5%) of total EOIs are now being selected from Philippines (starting Feb 1, 2006) PLUS the fact that BKK branch has been issuing WTR invitations left and right to Philippine applicants this year. This will mean that the remaining applications being processed in Bangkok branch has been considerably reduced from the huge volume handled in late 2005. |
