good day to all,

just want to ask lang sana...

our application (ITA) was submittted to NZIS in bangkok last dec 28,
last tier na ba ang ITA for WTR?
Our VO, Ms Kamonrat told me when I called her that I didn't have to send the passports of my family at this stage even if it was stated in the application letter requirements.
She told me that its not yet necessary so I sent her the certified true copy of my passport.plus photocopies of my family's passports.
tama po ba ito?
Has any one experience this?

thansk & regards,

dokis radi m.

in the ITA stage, you don't need to send the actual passports. CTC will do. The original passports will be requested from you after you have been given the WTR application which will happen around 2++ months after the Bangkok interview since they'll stamp this with the visa(if your WTR application is successful).

rgds,

Thanks for the info.
Actually we have been given the letter inviting us to apply for a deferred work to residence visa.
We have been interviewed last Aug in Bangkok and we were asked to submit the application form for WTR last October(deadline jan 4). I only submitted ours Dec. 28.
However, when I called up Ms Kamonrat right before I was to send my documents (namely, WTR form & proofs of income, passports) she told me I didn't have to send our passports at this stage. I asked her again if was she sure & she said yes & that the CTC will do for now.
Was it possible that she misunderstood my query? I am quite worried about this.
I gave her my ITA application no. & I assumed she was referring her answers to my status....
Just wanted to ask if someone has the same situation...

thanks again.

ah ok, it looks like I mis-understood your situation....WTR application ka na pala. Actually, mas-ahead ka pa kaysa sa akin. This is the first time I've heard about this scenario. Medyo nakakakaba nga ano?

Hindi ka naman siguro dapat kabahan dito. It might be an indication of their heavy workload and that it may take some time before they act on your ITA-WTR - the average processing time that I've seen so far is 4-5 months for WTR visa issuance - that's why maybe they don't need your original passports for the meantime.

Thanks rainny & kirk for the replies.
Sana nga ay ganon na nga.

I just saw my package received at the NZIS office (via fedex tracking) yesterday. Just in time for the Jan. 4 deadline (whew!).

I'll call Ms Kamonrat tomorrow to confirm the passport thing.

Hantay hantay lang at God Bless.
