| dear nz customs, please let us know if we can bring instant food that is made by" Backcountry Cuisine" freeze dried packeted meals . their address is www.backcountrycuisine.co.nz and i understand they are a nz company. can you let us know if we can bring in other packaged food dried food and snack foods eg muesli bars, sultanas. also we have walking boots and tents and backpacks etc for walking trips from australia. will we have any problems bringing these into nz, many thank liz |

| Hi edrickman, this site has nothing to do with customs. I rung MAF (Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry) and they said that if it contains meat and requires cooking then no you can't bring it in. But if it doesn't require any furthur cooking it should be alright, them meals in a bag only need reheating. They will need to be declared though. |
