Yeah, it was heaps better about 10+ yrs ago. Still plent of remote sounds in Fiordland if you are keen enough.

I took a boat trip in the sounds afew years ago, it was really rainy which added to the mystery of the atmosphere - visited an underwater aquarium with amazing animals in their natural habitat visible through glass, and took the same route back through the sounds that Abel Tasman did. beautiful
