i've already applied as an associate member. And in the process of deciding wether i'll go as a member. I would appreciate if u can keep me posted or u can give me feedback on their progress on your application. Can i ask if when they provide a job offer, can you to nz with a work visa or still have to wait for a residency visa? lanriv5@netscape.net
Archi., thanks

hello again archi.
so u have already paid the associate pack??? im also deciding if i will pay the membership fee coz it's too expensive (by our standard). but just knowing that it is really legitimate, parang mas masarap isipin di ba? i thank 'J' also for the advices-- i think i will also visit those website--there's no harm to that. before Newjobz, i used to surf the net for possible job offers online--and i did get some replies but when they knew that ur not yet inside NZ they will reply again that they are not sponsoring applicants and so forth and so on....
So, archi, when are u going to pay??? it's a lot of money ha....how about Steve???? Hey steve, what happened to ur application???? Is NEWJOBZ really a legit????? I really hope so....
WIll wait for ur replies....

Archi and Marichu:
I just check the NZ chambers of Commerce and NewJobz is a member of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. As per Archi question regarding going to NZ with work permit - you can go and start working there (no need to be a permanent resident to enter and work) - but you have to check what the limitations are or contract you signed before getting the work permit. Most of them will tie up the the work permit with the company that offered you the job. Meaning it is only valid while you are working for them. So be sure to check those little things included with the contract you will sign. Another thing, Steve previously mentioned that after 120 Days (4 Months) they will re-imburse your money if they can't provide you with a job. Check that this is true. Is it getting a job or getting an interview? What happens when you get an interview and did not get the job(hope this will not happen to all of you) and 4 months has passed? Will you be able to get the full refund or a portion of it? Check all the minute details before you sign the contract with Newjobz.
Again, I can not help you guys more than i wanted to because i do not reside in NZ anymore - I can't tell the employment climate right now aside from looking on those web sites i already posted here. But just remember this - from what i gather from Newjobz web site - They will help you find an employer - but eventually the employer (not Newjobz) will be the one offering you a job. I might be wrong here, but check with Newjobz (if you already paid for the initial membership - you are entitled to ask questions) "Who will sponsor your work permit?" - will it be Newjobz or your prospective employer? - Cause it will be better if your employer will provide this (their company name showing on your work permit) mas may kredibilidad ang dating sa immigration pag nag-apply ka na ng residence permit. Which i think will be the case, because Newjobz does not provide jobs.
With the package that you received - make sure to check the current situation in NZ by checking this web site "www.stuff.co.nz" from here you can check other links - like rent prices - go to the property stuff and look for rental properties - you pay bi-weekly on rental space (most of them does not include fridge, washer, dryer, electricity, telephone and cable) Water is free and before i left three channels in TV. It is very easy to get all of this, normally one day and everything is up and running. To save some money, instead of renting your own space (especially if you arrive by yourself w/c i recommend) try flatting (bed space/rooming ba sa atin) Once you arrived to your particular destination (Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton, Wellington - where i stayed) there are lot's of Filipino groups that you can ask looking for flatmates. I am pretty sure you will be able to get one.
Cheers and keep posting!

Here are some information from one of the recruiting firm based in Wellington. It' is more geared towards IT. The site is "http://www.sabrenz.co.nz/faq/" - it tells the new way of hiring outside of NZ. Like i said before, the procedure might have change since i left NZ.
Here's another one for checklist: "http://www.immigration.govt.nz/Migrant/Stream/Work/WorkAndLivePermanently/"
