oh, this was, i swear, the nicest lodge to stay on my round-the-globe-trip in 1988. In the first place to name (?) Jane, our host.

Dunedin is a woeful place for hostels but this is about the best,a nice place to stay.

I am very dissappointed, this backpackers is listed on the uni accommodation website. I rang asking for a bed for 2 nites a week, for the uni year. They turned me down and the reason being, they did not want to tie up 1 bed for that amount of time. Isn't that pathetic. I would have thought they would have been happy to have a regular booking bringing in dollars for the uni year. Oh well their loss. If you are a uni student, don't waste your time ringing this one. They advised me to ring Kiwis Nest Back Packers. So Try Them.

wonderfull place to stay with very helpfull staff, only bad point is it's one hell of a steep walk back from the town after a night on the tiles.
